OutrÒÓlhar: «Ficha de auto-avaliação excelente»

Queria evitar falar muito disto, já que não tenho que entregar a ficha, o biénio vai ao charco na mesma , mas ninguém me chateia. Relembro (aos colegas que decidiram entregar a ficha com folha anexa a declarar discordância com o modelo) que nada impedirá os actuais Ex.mos Senhores Directores de simplesmente mandar para a reciclagem a dita folha (com declarações individuais que não façam parte da ficha). Deve ser na ficha que, a entregar-se, algo seja registado que demonstre claramente o que a maioria dos professores pensa do modelo . Assim, a proposta do autor do blogue acima referido parece-me interessante.

Nota: Dada a afluência de visitas interessadas neste post, datado de 29 de Junho, resolvi trazê-lo para a  frente.

G8 :New York Times, “Obama, Summit Partners, Eye Intense Global Talks”

ROME (AP) — President Barack Obama joined fellow world leaders in Italy Wednesday for critical talks on threats to global security and stability at a summit where climate change, a continuing global economic crisis and world hunger took top billing.

Emerging from the meeting with Napolitano, Obama said he was looking forward to the G-8 talks and praised his Italian hosts for being ”such good friends” of the United States over the years.

He said the two countries among other things ”are working hand in hand in places like Afghanistan to ensure that we’re isolating extremists and strengthening the forces of moderation around the world.” Obama also said he and Napolitano agreed that efforts must continue in the area of ”raising standards on financial institutions” to protect against future global economic meltdowns.[…]

Many foreign leaders want the United States to embrace a target of limiting the rise in average planetary temperatures to 3.6 degrees (2 degrees Celsius) higher than they were in 1900, before widespread industrialization. Scientists say an increase beyond that could trigger dangerous rises in sea level and other dire problems.

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs declined Wednesday to say whether the administration would endorse the goal. But he suggested that the administration is putting its political emphasis on what it can accomplish back home with Congress, not with the Group of Eight (or G-8) at an international summit.

”I would say that I think our biggest contribution to this is the steps that were taken by the House,” Gibbs said, referring to legislation requiring reductions in greenhouse gases.

Setting goals and achieving them, of course, are different things, and G-8 meetings often are known more for high-minded roundtables and photo opportunities than for concrete results. Even before Obama left Washington, his aides tamped down expectations of breakthroughs at L’Aquila.

Presidential adviser Mike Froman told reporters that it’s not quite time for industrialized nations to pull the plug on economic stimulus efforts.

World leaders gathered here will seek a balance between continuing to stimulate sluggish economies and looking for exit strategies, he said. Froman also said there is still uncertainty and risk in the global economy and said said it’s important to return to fiscal sustainability, which would not include government stimulus efforts. Some G-8 leaders have urged Obama to support an end to stimulus efforts soon. […]”

Um assunto talvez  tão importante como o “memorial” a Michael Jackson. Ou talvez não. Mas menos importante do que  o artigo em destaque no jornal  on line, com o título “Health Deals Could Harbor Hidden Costs” ,ou seja, a cimeira dos agentes privados com interessess no sistema de Saúde dos EUA, pelo menos para o New York Times. Notícia a ler na íntegra, sem sombra de dúvidas, se quisermos ter uma ideia  das dificuldades que a administração Obama tem que superar para introduzir a sua reforma do Sistema de Saúde.

Maria João Pires confirma pedido de dupla nacionalidade

A pianista Maria João Pires confirma que pondera pedir também a nacionalidade brasileira, mas recusa que essa atitude seja motivada por “sentimentos negativos em relação a Portugal”, contrariando notícias que lhe atribuíam a decisão de deixar de ser cidadã portuguesa.

Numa nota enviada pelo seu advogado à agência noticiosa Lusa, é repudiada a forma como foi noticiada a “suposta vontade” da pianista de renome internacional de vir a “renunciar à nacionalidade portuguesa”, decisão motivada por uma “suposta zanga” com o Governo por “alegada falta de apoio à actividade da Associação Belgais”, que Maria João Pires fundou perto de Castelo Branco.[ …]

Como foi afinal ? Que tem esta notíca a ver com a última em que se afirmava bem claro que a pianista iria abandonar a nacionalidade portuguesa e que já tinha a dupla nacionalidade? Quem anda a brincar aos (ou com) os jornalistas? Talvez fosse bom para o Público (e  para Maria João Pires) publicar na íntegra a carta do advogado . Para evitar confusões. É que um centro comercial é um sítio barulhento e a jornalista não percebeu, ou houve um desabafo da pianista mal interpretado e precocemente (talvez ingénua ou levianamente) publicado.
